Success in self-improvement through spiritual path requires that we become absolutely involved in our journey. We need to be positive, determined and motivated. We need to be patient and be willing to invest sufficient time for our self-improvement.

Spiritual path is the journey of discovering our inner self. It is our personal journey and not a collective one. It is not about any religious cult or some philosophical belief. It is not a matter of spiritual debates or discussions or theories alone. Spirituality is about putting such theories and principles into practice. It is about our eternal self-improvement. It is about connecting to our real Self, connecting to the divine within us. This divinity is a storehouse of pure unconditional love and has all the powers to heal.

For some of us these positive results come instantly, the self-improvement happens spontaneously, but for others it happens slowly and steadily. First we witness definite inner changes within us and these changes gradually start to manifest from the outside. Doors get opened, people become friendly and helpful, our circumstances and situations change for better. We sense positive improvements both inside and outside. We become highly creative.

We become whatever we think and believe in wholeheartedly. Our thoughts have the power to manifest into reality. We act and behave according to the nature of our thoughts. Repeated meditation on positive thoughts brings us positive and peaceful results, and indulging in vain negative thoughts brings anxiety, fear and negative outcome. By using the power of our thoughts we can choose happiness or sorrow in our lives. We can choose a peaceful and joyous life or a frustrating and stressful life. For our self-improvement we need to work on our thoughts.

Our outer happenings are linked to our inner thought patterns. By indulging in negative thoughts all these years, unknowingly, we have stained our subconscious mind. Thus, we have, unknowingly, chosen struggles, problems and difficulties, unpleasant situations in our day-to-day lives. This leads to disappointments and frustrations and further negative thinking. To change our situations and circumstances we need to first of all clear our subconscious mind from its negative impressions. We can do this by repeated positive thinking. Also, we must make definite efforts to stop all negative thoughts from coming to us.

Feelings of guilt and resentment will not help our cause. We must learn to let go these emotions and accept things the way they are. We must learn to release our past baggage and move on. We must develop a positive attitude towards our self-improvement. We need to be wise enough to know the difference between self-esteem and ego. We should never nurture our ego. While our self-esteem inspires us to improve, the ego fills us with negative impulses. We must focus all our thoughts on our growth and transformation. All of us are endowed with some unique capabilities. We need to discover, realize and explore our talents. We can submit articles online and share our knowledge and experiences of our spiritual growth and self-improvement.
